Seeing a growing need and rising trend toward homeschooling, Agape Baptist

Pinson, Alabama established Agape Academy in August 2006
to assist families
in home
educating their children.
We have fifty-three families enrolled for the 2007-2008 school year. Twenty-six of those are returning Agape Academy families while twenty-five represent first year homeschoolers. We are a young school my establishment as well as age. Eighty-five of our ninety-four students
are first thru sixth graders.
Currently, our services include record keeping, field trips, Six Flags reading incentive program, a missions fair, newsletter, SAT testing, K5 graduation as well as opportunities for faculty support and encouragement.
We offer spring/summer enrollment only for the upcoming school year … April – July. If you would like to request an application packet, please contact the

David and Cindy Deerman
David and Cindy have been married for 24 years and have four children. Their two oldest are college students while they currently homeschool a seven and five year old. They have homeschooled for seven years. David is a project manager with The Southern Company. David and Cindy have known Jesus for over 35 years and site Matthew 6:33 as one of their favorite verses.
Michael and Paula Fargarson
Michael and Paula have been married 16 years and have three children ages six, nine, and eleven. They are starting their seventh year of homeschooling. Michael is currently a student at Birmingham School of Law anticipating a December graduation. Paula serves as Agape Academy’s administrator. Michael and Paula have known Jesus for nearly 30 years and site 3 John 4 as continuing motivation to homeschool.
Eric and Rebekah Hixon
Eric and Rebekah have been married 12 years and have five children ranging from two to eleven years. They are currently seeking to add to their family through foreign adoption. They have homeschooled for six years. Eric serves as a gifted evangelist. Eric and Rebekah have known Jesus nearly 30 years and site Romans 1:14-16 as one of their favorite verses.
Bo and Khristie Johnson
Bo and Khristie have been married 17 years and have four children ages two, four, six, and nine. They are starting their fifth year of homeschooling. Bo serves as pastor of Living Word. Bo and Khristie have known Jesus for 30 years
